Welcome to VRS
Connect, Create, Collaborate!
The VRS web site was designed for one reason: To connect Musicians, Songwriters, Producers, and Mixers - To collaborate on new music.
Just like it's real world analogue (a brick and mortar recording studio), VRS is a virtual meeting place for all musicians (hobbyist or pro) to connect, collaborate, and create music.
Now, an artist with a really great song is no longer limited by geographic location, in finding other "local" musicians that have the same musical tastes. Instead, artists can use VRS to collaborate with like minded musicians, whether they are in the same neighborhood or on different continents!
Your song projects can be public or private. You control who can hear your music or collaborate on your project. And for public projects VRS has a great feature called the "Song Shop" - It lets others hear a demo of your song and join your project.
Membership is free. Just enter some basic information on the signup screen , and start collaborating with other musicians today.

Demo/Track:01
Our first new feature for the new year
We've noticed that many VRS collaborators start off their new projects by uploading a Demo/Scratch track of their song for Track:01. And that makes perfect sense because most song projects, whether they are over the Internet or in a physical studio, start out that way.
So we have decided to enhance VRS to treat Track:01 in each VRS project as the song project demo track.
So now, if Track:01 in your project is an MP3 (And it does not have an NDA), VRS will consider it a Demo Track, and display it in an MP3 Player on each project member's Project Listing of that project. This is especially useful for public projects, since other VRS members can now play your MP3 Demo/Track:01 of your song right on the Public Projects listing screen, without the need to open your project and download Track:01.
We hope that this new feature will help VRS members find VRS song projects they would like to collaborate on even quicker than before.

Another Year, Another Birthday
Four Years Serving Music Collaborators!
Well it's time again to celebrate our birthday on the Interwebs, and to look back at another year of incredible growth.
Every year we set goals for VRS and for TheNetStudio.com. It helps us to be realistic about whether we are moving in the right direction. And this past year we not only exceeded all of our internal goals, but along the way we did some stuff that we hadn't anticipated or planned!
This year saw the conversion to a brand new, bigger, better server - which will ensure that we have plenty of processing power for our growing community.
And this year was our biggest push to integrate best-of-breed social networking services like YouTube, Flickr, and Facebook into VRS.
Y'see, Collaboration is in our DNA. It has been our plan from Day-1 to create a music collaboration system that would integrate with other music systems. Just like we wouldn't use a single instrument, microphone, or amplifier that tries to do everything - Instead we use the best music tools which connect and work together. In the same way, we view VRS as a tool that should work well with your other music, collaboration, and social networking tools to get YOUR MUSIC made YOUR WAY.
We plan to continue to play well with others. And to give you a big toolbox full of ways to help you collaborate on your music projects. Whether you login to VRS with your Facebook ID, collaborate with the built-in VRS tools, or use YouTube videos in your projects - we just want to see your music reach its full potential
Look for even more of the same in 2011!

VRS and Facebook
Login to VRS with your FaceBook ID and Password!
We are, always have been, and always will be about connecting musicians to collaborate on great new music!
We spend a lot of time thinking about how to help musicians connect and collaborate. And how to make that as easy as possible.
We realized that a LOT of musicians we know are using Facebook. And if we could allow them to login to VRS using their Facebook UserId and Password, it would be one less limitation to their collaborations.
So off we went to figure out how do do that. And we are happy to report that we have just completed our experimental Facebook integration. Now you can login to VRS using your Facebook UserId and Password.
We anticipate some problems as we improve our integration and algorithms, and we appreciate your patience as we shake this feature out. But if you want to give it a try, our beta Facebook Login is available at:
